CPV Vacuum System Overview
The DVP CPV range has been developed for industrial machinery where the vacuum system may draw in small quantities of non-aggressive liquid, normally water-based cutting fluid or coolant used during glass, marble and stone processing.
Instead of allowing this liquid to pass directly into the vacuum pump, the incoming air and liquid first enter the integrated separator tank. Collected liquid remains in the tank while the separated air continues towards the vacuum pump.
A ball valve at the tank inlet allows the separator to be isolated from the connected machine during inspection, draining or routine maintenance. The removable galvanised cover provides access to the tank, helping make cleaning and servicing straightforward.
The CPV 25/25, CPV 40/25 and CPV 60/25 use DVP WR-series oil lubricated rotary vane pumps. Their high-efficiency gas ballast system is designed to help manage residual moisture and condensation within the pump oil.

How the CPV Liquid Separator Works
1. Air and Liquid Enter
Process air, together with any entrained non-aggressive liquid, is drawn from the connected machine into the separator tank.
2. Liquid Is Collected
The reduction in air velocity inside the tank allows the heavier liquid to separate from the airflow and collect in the lower part of the vessel.
3. Air Reaches the Pump
Separated air continues from the tank to the rotary vane vacuum pump, helping reduce the quantity of liquid entering the pump itself.
4. Tank Is Maintained
The inlet ball valve allows the tank to be isolated before collected liquid is removed and the separator is inspected or cleaned.

Moisture that passes beyond the separator can mix with the pump oil during operation. The WR arrangement assists moisture management and allows separated condensation to be expelled from the pump when it is stopped, helping preserve the condition of the oil.
The separator is intended for non-aggressive liquids. Chemical compatibility, liquid quantity and operating conditions should always be checked before selecting the system.
