Home Blowers Triple Stage Side Channel Blowers
DVP TTL Triple stage side channel blower pump

DVP Triple Stage TTL
Side Channel Blowers
Nominal capacity:
500 – 2480 m3/h

The DVP TTL triple-stage side channel blower range represents the highest differential-pressure performance available within the DVP regenerative blower portfolio. By passing the air through three compression stages, TTL blowers achieve exceptionally deep vacuum and high positive pressure while maintaining clean, oil-free operation.

With nominal capacities of 500 m³/h at 50 Hz and 600 m³/h at 60 Hz, the TTL range is suited to demanding vacuum lifting, pneumatic conveying, central vacuum, process engineering and specialist industrial applications. Maximum performance reaches -650 mbar vacuum and +670 mbar pressure, depending on model and operating frequency.

Description

DVP TTL Triple-Stage Side Channel Blowers

DVP TTL triple-stage side channel blowers deliver the highest vacuum and pressure capability within the DVP regenerative blower range.

Air passes through three regenerative compression stages, producing very high differential pressure without oil in the compression path. The result is clean, continuous and low-pulsation air for demanding industrial duties.

Vacuum Pumps UK is the UK & Ireland Master Agent for DVP Vacuum Technology.

Maximum Differential Pressure from DVP Regenerative Blower Technology

The DVP TTL range is intended for applications where a conventional single- or double-stage side channel blower cannot provide sufficient vacuum or positive pressure. Each regenerative stage adds further energy to the air while retaining the simplicity and oil-free operation of side channel technology.

With three stages operating in series, TTL blowers can reach vacuum levels down to -650 mbar and positive pressure up to +670 mbar, depending on the model and frequency.

TTL blowers provide a specialist solution where clean air, continuous operation, low pulsation and limited routine maintenance are required at unusually high differential pressure.

When Is a Triple-Stage Blower the Right Choice?

A triple-stage blower should be considered when the required vacuum or pressure exceeds the practical operating range of a single-stage or standard double-stage blower, but the process remains suitable for a high-flow regenerative blower.

Typical reasons include restrictive pipework, deeper suction, greater lifting force, higher discharge resistance or a process requiring substantial differential pressure without oil contamination.

Because the TTL range is designed for demanding operating points, selection should always be confirmed against the relevant performance curve.

How Three-Stage Regenerative Compression Works

The rotating impeller transfers energy repeatedly to the air as it moves around the annular side channel. The air then passes sequentially through three compression stages, with each stage increasing the pressure differential before discharge.

The impellers operate without contact with the casing, and no oil is used in the compression path.

This arrangement combines unusually high side channel blower pressure with smooth airflow and low routine maintenance.

TTL or TDL: Which Range Should You Choose?

A DVP TDL double-stage blower is generally the first choice where its performance is sufficient. It offers a wider range of capacities and may provide the more economical solution.

The TTL range should be considered when the application requires still greater differential pressure. It is the specialist option for duties approaching the highest vacuum and pressure available from DVP regenerative blower technology.

Vacuum Pumps UK can compare the required operating point against both TDL and TTL performance curves.

Key Benefits of DVP TTL Triple-Stage Blowers

Exceptional Vacuum

Vacuum levels down to -650 mbar, depending on model and frequency.

High Positive Pressure

Maximum delivery pressure reaches +670 mbar.

Clean Oil-Free Air

No oil is used in the compression path.

Continuous-Duty Capability

Suitable for correctly selected sustained industrial duties.

Low Routine Maintenance

No internal vane wear and no compression-chamber oil changes.

Vacuum or Pressure Duty

Usable for suction or positive-pressure operation.

Typical Applications for TTL Blowers

Vacuum Lifting & Holding

Stronger suction for lifting devices, vacuum tables and grippers.

Pneumatic Conveying

Material movement through restrictive or extended pipe systems.

Central Vacuum Systems

Distributed suction through manifolds and resistant pipe networks.

Process Engineering

Stable high vacuum or pressure without oil contamination.

High-Resistance Aeration

Air delivery against liquid depth, diffusers or restrictive pipework.

Specialist Machinery

A regenerative solution where standard blower pressure is insufficient.

Vacuum and Pressure Operation

For vacuum duty, the process connects to the blower inlet. For pressure duty, the outlet supplies compressed air to the application.

The maximum figures are operating limits rather than full-flow ratings. Available airflow falls as differential pressure rises.

The required duty must therefore be checked against the performance curve, motor loading and permitted continuous operating region.

Triple-Stage TTL Model Specification Table

Compare capacity, motor power, vacuum and pressure at 50 Hz and 60 Hz. Final selection should be confirmed against the relevant performance curve.

Motor power
kW — 50 Hz / 60 Hz
Vacuum

Maximum pressure

TTL 550-1 500 / 600 5,5 / 6,3 -600 / -650 +590 / +650 Data sheet →

TTL 550 or TTL 550-1?

Both models provide the same nominal capacity, but the TTL 550-1 uses a higher-powered motor and is intended for the more demanding end of the performance range.

The TTL 550 reaches up to -580 mbar vacuum and +670 mbar pressure at 60 Hz. The TTL 550-1 reaches the deepest vacuum in the range at -650 mbar and up to +650 mbar pressure at 60 Hz.

The correct choice depends on the complete operating point, not the highest single published figure.

Why the Performance Curve Is Essential

At high differential pressure, small changes in resistance can significantly affect airflow, temperature and motor current.

The performance curve should confirm the expected airflow at the required vacuum or pressure and show that the duty remains inside the permitted continuous operating region.

Allow margin for filter loading, process variation, ambient temperature and future system changes.

Installation and System Protection

Install the blower on a stable base with adequate cooling space. Pipework should be correctly sized and independently supported.

Inlet filters, relief valves, silencers and flexible connectors may be required according to the installation. Three-phase rotation and motor protection must be checked before commissioning.

Ambient temperature, altitude, inlet temperature and duty cycle should all be considered during selection.

Maintenance and Service Support

TTL blowers require relatively little routine maintenance because the impellers do not contact the casing and no oil is used in the compression path.

Routine checks should include filters, cooling passages, electrical connections, pipework condition and monitoring for abnormal noise, vibration, temperature or current draw.

Vacuum Pumps UK can supply replacement TTL blowers, genuine accessories and technical support.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a triple-stage side channel blower?

It passes air sequentially through three regenerative compression stages to create greater differential pressure than single- or double-stage designs.

How much vacuum can a DVP TTL blower produce?

The TTL 550 reaches up to -580 mbar at 60 Hz, while the TTL 550-1 reaches up to -650 mbar at 60 Hz.

How much positive pressure can it produce?

Maximum pressure reaches +670 mbar on the TTL 550 at 60 Hz. The operating point must be checked against the performance curve.

Are TTL blowers oil free?

Yes. No oil is used in the compression path.

Should I choose a TDL or TTL blower?

A TDL is normally preferred where its performance is sufficient. A TTL should be considered where greater vacuum or pressure is required.
