DVP Piston Vacuum Pumps and Compressors

DVP piston pumps provide a compact and robust source of vacuum or positive pressure for medical, analytical, construction and general equipment applications. Their operating principle is based on a piston moving backwards and forwards inside a cylinder.

Inlet and outlet valves control the direction of airflow. During the suction stroke, air enters the cylinder through the inlet valve. During the compression stroke, the air is discharged through the outlet valve.

Piston pumps are particularly useful in applications where moisture may be present. Versions fitted with a protective safety guard and intake filter are also available for use as portable or mobile units.

How Does a Piston Vacuum Pump Work?

The piston is driven mechanically inside the cylinder, creating alternating increases and decreases in cylinder volume.
