DVP BCA lobe pumps and CBL vacuum systems are designed and manufactured in Italy for demanding industrial processes requiring high pumping speeds and dependable vacuum performance.
Vacuum Pumps UK is the Official DVP Technology Master Agent for the UK and Ireland, providing factory-backed pump selection, technical advice and after-sales support.
We provide genuine DVP components, servicing, fault investigation and technical support for BCA lobe pumps, primary backing pumps and complete CBL systems.
Selecting a lobe vacuum pump requires careful consideration of the primary backing pump, required pumping speed, operating pressure, chamber volume and target pump-down time. Contact Vacuum Pumps UK for help specifying the correct BCA pump or complete CBL system.
Contact Our SpecialistsDVP BCA rotary lobe vacuum pumps are high-capacity dry-running booster pumps designed for industrial processes requiring increased pumping speed at lower operating pressures.
Two synchronised, non-contacting lobed rotors rotate inside a specially shaped pumping chamber. This transfers air from the inlet to the outlet without oil being required inside the pumping chamber and without the rotors rubbing against one another.
In vacuum applications, the BCA lobe pump is installed in series with a suitably sized oil-lubricated rotary vane primary pump. The lobe booster increases pumping speed at low pressure, reduces the time required to evacuate a chamber and enables the combined system to achieve a substantially deeper final vacuum than the primary pump could normally produce alone.
The DVP BCA range provides nominal capacities from approximately 279 to 3,465 m³/h, allowing the booster pump to be matched to different chamber sizes, process duties and primary vacuum pumps.

View DVP CBL Lobe Pump Systems →Rotary lobe booster pumps are generally used where a process requires high pumping speeds at lower pressure, rapid evacuation of a sealed volume or a deeper final vacuum than a conventional primary pump can achieve alone.

• Industrial degassing processes
• Bespoke factory vacuum installations
A lobe booster can provide substantially greater pumping speed once the primary pump has reduced the system pressure sufficiently.
This can reduce production cycle times and improve the performance of processes requiring high throughput at deeper vacuum levels.
Correct selection depends on the chamber volume, required pump-down time, process pressure, gas load, duty cycle and the capacity of the primary backing pump.
Vacuum Pumps UK can work with DVP’s technical resource to select a suitable BCA pump or complete CBL system.
As the Official DVP Technology Master Agent for the UK and Ireland, Vacuum Pumps UK provides genuine parts, factory-trained technical expertise and comprehensive after-sales support.
Support is available for the BCA booster, primary rotary vane pump, system controls and associated vacuum equipment.
A rotary lobe vacuum pump uses two synchronised lobed rotors to transfer air through a dry, contactless pumping chamber. In this application it is normally used as a booster pump alongside a primary vacuum pump.
In vacuum applications, the BCA lobe pump should be installed in series with a suitable oil-lubricated rotary vane primary pump. The primary pump reduces the pressure before the lobe booster provides increased pumping speed.
The BCA lobe pump operates with a dry pumping chamber and no oil is required around the lobed rotors. However, a complete vacuum system normally includes an oil-lubricated primary backing pump.
A CBL system is a factory-configured combination of a DVP BCA lobe booster, a matched DVP oil-lubricated rotary vane primary pump and the associated system control and protection equipment.
Useful information includes the chamber or system volume, starting pressure, target pressure, required evacuation time, process gas, operating hours and details of any existing primary vacuum pump.
