DVP Kzero Series Overview
The DVP LC205 Kzero and LC305 Kzero are specialist versions of the standard LC205 and LC305 oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps.
The Kzero series has been developed for heavy-duty industrial environments where elevated operating temperatures, aggressive process oils and solvent vapours may accelerate deterioration in a conventional vacuum pump.
A renovated pump housing supports operation in hotter environments, while FKM check-valve components provide improved resistance to oils and solvents commonly encountered in industrial metal washing processes.
Both models achieve an ultimate vacuum of 0.3 mbar absolute, compared with 0.5 mbar absolute for the standard LC205 and LC305 versions.
LC205 Kzero and LC305 Kzero Comparison
The two models share the same specialist Kzero construction. The correct choice depends primarily on the required pumping speed, evacuation time and motor power.
DVP LC205 Kzero
Nominal capacity: 205 m³/h at 50Hz and 245 m³/h at 60Hz.
Ultimate vacuum: 0.3 mbar absolute.
Water vapour capacity: 3.5 kg/h.
Motor power: 5.5 kW at 50Hz and 6.6 kW at 60Hz.
Suitable where Kzero solvent resistance and heavy-duty construction are required at the lower of the two available pumping capacities.
DVP LC305 Kzero
Nominal capacity: 305 m³/h at 50Hz and 365 m³/h at 60Hz.
Ultimate vacuum: 0.3 mbar absolute.
Water vapour capacity: 5 kg/h.
Motor power: 7.5 kW at 50Hz and 9 kW at 60Hz.
Suitable for larger chambers, faster evacuation requirements and industrial systems requiring the higher available Kzero pumping capacity.
Designed for Heavy-Duty Solvent Applications
Industrial metal washing machines can expose vacuum pumps to elevated temperatures, process oils, cleaning fluids and solvent vapours.
These conditions can cause conventional elastomers and internal components to harden, swell or deteriorate, leading to loss of vacuum, oil leakage and increased maintenance requirements.
The Kzero series uses FKM check-valve components to provide greater resistance to these operating conditions. The supplied SYN HP 110 oil is also selected for compatibility with solvents commonly encountered in metal washing processes.
Typical Applications
The LC205 Kzero and LC305 Kzero are primarily designed for heavy-duty industrial cleaning and solvent-exposed vacuum duties.
› Industrial metal washing machines
› Solvent-based component cleaning systems
› Degreasing equipment
› Enclosed parts-cleaning machines
› High-temperature washing processes
› Industrial cleaning chambers
› Vacuum drying after component washing
› Processes involving oils and solvents
› OEM metal-cleaning machinery
› Heavy-duty industrial evacuation
Why Choose a DVP Kzero Pump?
The Kzero series is a strong choice where the standard LC205 or LC305 may be exposed to operating conditions that accelerate deterioration of oil, elastomers and check-valve components.
Both pumps include an oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, automatic floating oil recovery valve, gas ballast, shock mounts, oil filter with bypass and flexible transmission coupling.
Vacuum Pumps UK can support the LC205 Kzero and LC305 Kzero with pump selection, replacement advice, service support, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.
Key Kzero Features
FKM Check-Valve Components
FKM components provide improved resistance to oils and solvents, helping reduce deterioration in demanding industrial cleaning applications.
High-Temperature Design
The renovated pump housing is designed to support operation in sectors where working environments reach elevated temperatures.
SYN HP 110 Oil
The supplied specialist oil is selected for compatibility with solvents commonly encountered in metal washing machinery.
Deeper Vacuum
Both Kzero models achieve a stated ultimate vacuum of 0.3 mbar absolute, compared with 0.5 mbar for the corresponding standard pumps.
Standard LC Pump or Kzero?
The standard LC205 and LC305 pumps are suitable for a wide range of general industrial and packaging duties.
The Kzero versions are designed for harsher conditions involving elevated temperatures and regular contact with oils or solvents, particularly within metal washing machinery.
The Kzero pumps also provide a deeper stated ultimate vacuum of 0.3 mbar absolute, compared with 0.5 mbar absolute for the standard LC205 and LC305.
Our technical team can review the cleaning medium, process temperature, chamber size, evacuation time and existing installation before advising which version is more appropriate.
Repair or Replace Your Existing Pump?
Where a pump on a metal washing machine repeatedly suffers from hardened seals, degraded check-valve components, contaminated oil or reduced vacuum performance, the operating environment may be contributing to the failure.
Repairing a standard pump may restore operation temporarily, but changing to a pump designed for solvent-exposed duty may provide a more durable solution.
We can assess the existing pump, solvent type, process temperature and required vacuum before advising whether repair, refurbishment or replacement with a Kzero model is appropriate.
Replacement Pump Guide
Replacing a Metal Washer Pump?
The Kzero series is specifically designed for metal washing machinery where the vacuum pump may be exposed to oils, solvents and elevated operating temperatures.
Choosing Between LC205 and LC305 Kzero?
The LC205 Kzero suits lower-capacity duties, while the LC305 Kzero provides increased pumping speed for larger systems or faster evacuation.
Existing Pump Failing Prematurely?
Repeated seal or valve deterioration may indicate that the existing pump is not sufficiently resistant to the process oils or solvents.
Replacing Another Make?
Send us the pump make, model number or a photograph of the nameplate and we will advise the nearest suitable DVP option.
Not Sure Which Kzero Model You Need?
Tell us the existing pump model, chamber size, cleaning solvent, operating temperature and required evacuation time.
We can compare the LC205 Kzero and LC305 Kzero and recommend the most appropriate pump for the machine.
