Becker sv 130-1 side channel blower

Becker SV 130/1 1.50kW Side Channel Blower

The Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW is a single-stage side channel blower providing 130 m³/h at 50 Hz, with maximum vacuum of -240 mbar and maximum positive pressure of +280 mbar. This motor configuration provides the highest 50 Hz positive-pressure capability within the SV 130/1 range, making it suitable for industrial applications requiring stronger blast air while retaining the compact 130 m³/h blower format.

At 60 Hz, the corresponding 1.80 kW motor provides 160 m³/h and increases the operating limits to maximum vacuum of -270 mbar and positive pressure of +300 mbar. The blower uses dry, non-contact side channel compression and requires no oil within the compression chamber.

Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with Becker SV 130/1 supply, application selection and existing blower requirements. Accessories, service, repair and spare parts support are also available.

Description

Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW Side Channel Blower

The Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW is the highest-powered 50 Hz motor configuration within the standard SV 130/1 range, combining 130 m³/h nominal airflow with increased positive-pressure capability.

At 50 Hz, maximum relative vacuum is -240 mbar while positive pressure extends to +280 mbar. The corresponding 60 Hz version uses a 1.80 kW motor, increases nominal airflow to 160 m³/h and can operate to -270 mbar vacuum or +300 mbar positive pressure.

This makes the 1.50 kW configuration particularly relevant where the application requires a stronger pressure differential for blowing, conveying or process-air duties, while it remains equally capable of operating as an oil-free vacuum blower.

Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW Overview

The SV 130/1 1.50 kW uses the same single-stage side channel operating principle as the other SV 130/1 configurations, but the larger motor allows the blower to operate against a greater positive-pressure differential.

Air entering the unit is accelerated by the rotating impeller and repeatedly circulated around the side channel. The process builds pressure without requiring vanes or other contacting compression elements, allowing the air path to remain free from lubricating oil.

At 50 Hz the blower provides 130 m³/h nominal volume flow. Maximum vacuum is -240 mbar, while maximum positive pressure reaches +280 mbar. At 60 Hz the performance envelope increases further, with 160 m³/h airflow, -270 mbar vacuum and +300 mbar positive pressure.

The increased pressure capability makes this version particularly suited to applications where discharge resistance or the required blast-air pressure is more demanding. Integrated inlet and discharge silencers, sealed bearings and compact pedestal mounting remain part of the practical SV design.

Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with identification of an existing SV 130/1 1.50 kW or help assess a new vacuum or pressure application using the required flow and operating differential.

Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW Technical Specifications

The difference between 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation is more pronounced on this configuration than on some of the smaller SV 130/1 versions. Both airflow and maximum differential pressure increase at 60 Hz, so the supply frequency should always be established when checking blower performance.

Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW Features

Increased Pressure Capability

Maximum positive pressure reaches +280 mbar at 50 Hz, providing additional capability for blast-air and pressure applications.

Vacuum Operation

The same blower can provide suction duty to -240 mbar at 50 Hz and -270 mbar with the corresponding 60 Hz configuration.

Oil-Free Compression

No oil is required in the compression chamber, providing clean airflow for applications where oil contamination is undesirable.

Non-Contact Principle

Air is compressed aerodynamically by the impeller and side channel without rubbing compression elements during normal operation.

Integrated Silencers

Inlet and discharge silencers are incorporated into the blower design, helping reduce noise and the number of external components required.

Low Maintenance Design

Sealed bearings and contact-free compression reduce routine lubrication and maintenance requirements in normal industrial operation.

Typical Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW Applications

The 1.50 kW SV 130/1 is particularly useful where an application needs greater positive pressure while still requiring the flexibility to operate the blower on vacuum. Actual selection should be based on the required operating point rather than maximum figures alone.

Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW Blower Supply

Vacuum Pumps UK can assist where the requirement specifically calls for the 1.50 kW SV 130/1 or where an existing blower needs to be identified from its model and motor information.

As several motor powers are used with the SV 130/1 designation, a quotation for an existing installation should ideally include a photograph of both the blower and motor nameplates. This helps distinguish the required performance configuration and electrical specification.

For new applications, tell us the required airflow, normal operating vacuum or positive pressure and details of the process or machine. We can then consider the actual operating duty and suitable blower arrangement.

Becker SV Side Channel Blower Accessories

Correctly selected accessories help keep the SV 130/1 operating within its intended performance range. This becomes particularly important on the 1.50 kW configuration because it can develop a greater positive-pressure differential than the lower-powered SV 130/1 versions.

Inlet Filters

Correct inlet filtration helps prevent dust, fibres and process contamination entering the blower and restricting the internal air passages.

Vacuum Relief Valves

A vacuum relief valve can help protect the blower if inlet restriction or changing process conditions cause the suction differential to become excessive.

Pressure Relief Valves

Pressure relief is particularly important on blast-air duties, helping prevent excessive discharge pressure if system resistance increases unexpectedly.

Installation Accessories

Non-return valves, silencers, flexible connectors and suitable pipework components can be incorporated to suit the machine and blower installation.

Becker SV 130/1 Service, Repair and Spare Parts

The Becker SV operating principle is inherently low maintenance because the compression process is dry and non-contact. This does not mean that the complete blower is maintenance-free: bearings, motors, filters and the surrounding installation can all affect performance over time.

Unusual noise, vibration, increased operating temperature, reduced airflow or an inability to reach the expected vacuum or pressure are all reasons to investigate an installed SV 130/1. On higher-pressure applications it is also important to check that the blower has not been subjected to excessive differential pressure because of blocked pipework or incorrect relief settings.

Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with inspection, diagnosis, service and workshop repair requirements for Becker SV side channel blowers.

Becker SV 130/1 1.50 kW Frequently Asked Questions

What is the nominal capacity of the SV 130/1 1.50 kW?

The nominal volume flow is 130 m³/h at 50 Hz. The corresponding 1.80 kW 60 Hz configuration provides 160 m³/h.

What is the maximum vacuum at 50 Hz?

The 1.50 kW SV 130/1 has a maximum relative vacuum of -240 mbar at 50 Hz.

What is the maximum positive pressure?

Maximum relative pressure is +280 mbar at 50 Hz, making this the strongest positive-pressure configuration in the standard SV 130/1 50 Hz range.

How does the specification change at 60 Hz?

At 60 Hz the corresponding motor is 1.80 kW, nominal airflow increases to 160 m³/h, maximum vacuum becomes -270 mbar and maximum pressure increases to +300 mbar.

Can the SV 130/1 1.50 kW be used as a vacuum blower?

Yes. Although this configuration has increased positive-pressure capability, it can also be used for vacuum applications within its specified operating limits.

Does it require oil changes?

The side channel compression chamber operates without oil. Routine maintenance should still include appropriate inspection of the blower, filters and surrounding system.

Why should I send the motor plate when asking for a replacement?

Several motor ratings share the SV 130/1 model designation, and the motor configuration changes the maximum vacuum and pressure performance. The nameplate helps identify exactly what is installed.

Can Vacuum Pumps UK service and repair Becker blowers?

Yes. We can assist with fault diagnosis, inspection, servicing and workshop repair of Becker side channel blowers.
