Becker SV 200/1 1.50 kW Side Channel Blower
The Becker SV 200/1 1.50 kW is a compact single-stage regenerative blower designed for applications that need 180 m³/h of airflow combined with a stronger vacuum or pressure differential.
At 50 Hz, the blower can operate to -215 mbar relative vacuum or +225 mbar positive pressure. The corresponding 60 Hz configuration uses a 1.80 kW motor and delivers 230 m³/h, with maximum operating limits of -230 mbar vacuum and +220 mbar pressure.
This makes the 1.50 kW SV 200/1 a useful choice where pipework resistance, vacuum holding requirements or blast-air pressure demands more from the blower than a lower-powered configuration.

Understanding the Becker SV 200/1 1.50 kW
The 1.50 kW SV 200/1 is designed for applications where both airflow and differential pressure are important. Its nominal 180 m³/h 50 Hz capacity is identical to the lower-powered SV 200/1, but its larger motor allows it to operate against substantially greater suction and discharge resistance.
This distinction is particularly important when replacing a blower. Two machines marked SV 200/1 can have quite different maximum operating capabilities depending on the motor fitted. Selecting only by model family and nominal flow can therefore result in an incorrectly matched replacement.
The blower generates pressure aerodynamically. A fast-rotating impeller transfers energy to the air as it circulates through the side channel. There is no mechanical rubbing contact in the compression process and no lubricating oil is required in the air chamber.
For the user, this means clean process air, no compression vanes to replace and relatively straightforward maintenance. Integrated inlet and discharge silencers help reduce operating noise, while sealed bearings eliminate routine greasing.
The 1.50 kW version’s greater pressure differential makes it particularly relevant to vacuum lifting, holding, pneumatic transport and pressure applications where restrictions in the system must be overcome.
Becker SV 200/1 1.50 kW Performance Data
Performance changes with electrical frequency. The 60 Hz version has a higher nominal volume flow and uses a corresponding 1.80 kW motor.
| Frequency | Capacity | Vacuum | Pressure | Motor |
| 50 Hz | 180 m³/h | -215 mbar | +225 mbar | 1.50 kW |
| 60 Hz | 230 m³/h | -230 mbar | +220 mbar | 1.80 kW |
Weight: 28.5 kg including motor.
Why Use the SV 200/1 1.50 kW?
Greater Suction Differential
Up to -215 mbar at 50 Hz provides stronger vacuum capability for holding, lifting and conveying duties.
Higher Blast Pressure
Positive pressure up to +225 mbar makes the blower suitable for demanding discharge-air applications.
Oil-Free Airflow
Dry compression prevents lubricating oil being introduced into the process air.
No Compression Vanes
The contact-free impeller design avoids sliding vanes and their associated routine replacement.
Integrated Silencers
Inlet and discharge silencing is incorporated into the blower design.
Compact Installation
Pedestal mounting with vibration isolation allows straightforward integration into industrial machinery.
SV 200/1 Industrial Applications
With its increased differential-pressure capability, the 1.50 kW SV 200/1 can serve both suction and blast-air duties across production and process machinery.
› Vacuum lifting and handling
› Packaging machinery
› Printing and paper equipment
› Vacuum fixing and clamping
› Automated product handling
› Pneumatic conveying

Supply and Replacement of Becker SV 200/1 Blowers
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with SV 200/1 requirements for existing equipment and new installations. For a direct replacement enquiry, the complete nameplate is the best starting point.
Motor power matters because the SV 200/1 1.10 kW and 1.50 kW configurations share the same 180 m³/h nominal 50 Hz airflow but have significantly different vacuum and pressure limits.
Where the requirement is for a new application, tell us the desired flow, operating differential, electrical supply and intended use. Our team can then help assess the blower against the actual duty.
SV 200/1 Installation and Protection Accessories
Side channel blowers depend on unrestricted airflow for reliable operation. Appropriate filtration and relief protection can help prevent contamination, overheating and excessive differential pressure.
Air Filters
Protect the impeller and side channel from dust and process contamination.
Vacuum Relief
Limits excessive suction differential where inlet resistance can change during operation.
Pressure Relief
Protects the blower if discharge pressure rises above the intended operating duty.
System Components
Flexible connections, non-return valves and pipework accessories can be selected for the installation.
Becker SV 200/1 Service and Repair
Side channel blowers have relatively simple routine maintenance requirements, but years of industrial operation can still lead to bearing deterioration, motor faults, contamination or changes in performance.
Excessive noise, vibration, temperature or reduced airflow should be investigated rather than simply allowing the blower to continue running. Restrictions elsewhere in the system should also be checked because a blocked filter or pipework restriction can increase the differential pressure imposed on the blower.
Vacuum Pumps UK can inspect Becker blowers, diagnose faults and advise whether service or workshop repair is appropriate.
Repair
Workshop investigation of bearing, motor, noise and performance problems.
