Becker SV 700/1 7.5 kW Side Channel Blower
The Becker SV 700/1 7.5 kW combines 750 m³/h nominal 50 Hz airflow with significantly increased vacuum and positive-pressure capability for industrial systems operating against greater resistance.
At 50 Hz it is rated to -300 mbar relative vacuum and +285 mbar positive pressure. At 60 Hz the corresponding 9 kW motor produces 900 m³/h with maximum vacuum of -280 mbar and positive pressure of +250 mbar.
Although nominal airflow remains the same as the 5.5 kW SV 700/1, the additional motor power considerably increases the differential available to overcome restrictions within the process or connected pipework.

Greater Differential Without Increasing Nominal Flow
The 7.5 kW SV 700/1 occupies an important position within the series. Its nominal 50 Hz capacity remains 750 m³/h, but its ability to work against vacuum and pressure resistance increases markedly compared with the 5.5 kW configuration.
Maximum relative vacuum rises to -300 mbar, while the positive-pressure rating increases to +285 mbar. This makes the blower more appropriate where filters, longer pipe runs, product movement or process restrictions create a greater pressure differential.
The distinction between nominal capacity and operating performance is particularly important with side channel blowers. Free-air capacity alone does not determine whether a blower is suitable. The required airflow at the actual system differential must also fall within the blower’s performance characteristics.
The SV 700/1 uses a rotating impeller and side channel to transfer energy into the airflow. There is no rubbing compression element within the air chamber and no lubricating oil is required in the compression process.
This provides oil-free airflow while keeping the basic mechanism relatively simple, but appropriate filtration, unrestricted cooling and correctly designed pipework remain important to reliable service.
Becker SV 700/1 7.5 kW Technical Specifications
The 60 Hz configuration uses a 9 kW motor, increasing nominal airflow to 900 m³/h. At this frequency the blower is rated to -280 mbar relative vacuum and +250 mbar positive pressure.
| Frequency | Nominal Capacity | Maximum Vacuum | Maximum Pressure | Motor Power | Weight |
| 50 Hz | 750 m³/h | -300 mbar | +285 mbar | 7.5 kW | 112 kg |
| 60 Hz | 900 m³/h | -280 mbar | +250 mbar | 9 kW | 112 kg |

Key Features of the SV 700/1 7.5 kW
-300 mbar Vacuum
Increased suction differential suits applications where the connected system creates greater resistance on the vacuum side.
+285 mbar Pressure
Higher pressure capability broadens the range of conveying, aeration and process-air duties compared with the 5.5 kW version.
750 m³/h Platform
Retains the same high nominal 50 Hz volume flow while providing significantly greater allowable differential.
Oil-Free Compression
The air path does not require lubrication, helping keep process airflow free from lubricating oil contamination.
Integrated Silencers
Inlet and discharge silencers form part of the blower construction and help reduce operating sound.
Low Routine Maintenance
Non-contact compression and sealed bearings reduce routine mechanical maintenance requirements.
Typical Applications
The 7.5 kW SV 700/1 is a useful choice where substantial airflow must be maintained while the connected equipment generates a greater vacuum or pressure differential.
› Vacuum lifting systems
› Automated material handling
› Printing and paper machinery
› Packaging machinery
› Vacuum fixing systems
› Pneumatic conveying
› Aeration and agitation
› Drying equipment
› Process-air systems
› Industrial machinery
SV 700/1 7.5 kW Supply and Duty Selection
Vacuum Pumps UK can supply Becker SV 700/1 7.5 kW side channel blowers for replacement equipment, machinery manufacturers and new industrial installations.
For replacement duties, the complete model and motor data should be checked. Although several SV 700/1 configurations share the same 750 m³/h nominal capacity, their maximum differential ratings vary considerably.
On new projects, provide the required airflow at the normal working vacuum or pressure rather than selecting from maximum values alone. Filter pressure drop, pipe length, bore size, valves and process resistance can all influence the real operating point.
Accessories for Higher-Differential SV 700/1 Duties
As the required differential increases, the effect of filters, pipework and control components becomes increasingly important. Accessories should therefore be sized to protect the blower without creating unnecessary additional resistance.
Inlet Filters
Properly sized filtration protects the blower while keeping suction pressure drop as low as practical.
Vacuum Relief
A correctly selected relief valve can admit air if inlet restriction drives vacuum beyond the intended operating level.
Pressure Relief
Relief protection is important where discharge-side blockage or valve closure could increase pressure differential.
System Components
Flexible connectors, check valves and adequately sized pipework help form a reliable blower installation.
Becker SV 700/1 7.5 kW Service, Repair and Spare Parts
A side channel blower can have relatively few wearing compression components, but the motor, bearings, impeller condition and connected process all affect performance and reliability.
On a higher-differential installation, increasing filter restriction or blocked pipework can alter the operating point considerably. A blower that is running hot or drawing excessive load may therefore be reacting to a system problem rather than an internal fault.
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with inspection and repair where an SV 700/1 develops noise, vibration, reduced performance or another operating problem.

Becker SV 700/1 7.5 kW Frequently Asked Questions
What is the capacity of the Becker SV 700/1 7.5 kW?
Nominal capacity is 750 m³/h at 50 Hz and 900 m³/h at 60 Hz.
What maximum vacuum does this configuration provide?
Maximum relative vacuum is -300 mbar at 50 Hz and -280 mbar at 60 Hz.
What maximum positive pressure can it produce?
Maximum relative positive pressure is +285 mbar at 50 Hz and +250 mbar at 60 Hz.
Does the 7.5 kW motor give more nominal airflow than the 5.5 kW version?
No. Both provide 750 m³/h nominal capacity at 50 Hz. The principal difference is the greater operating differential available from the 7.5 kW configuration.
When would the 7.5 kW SV 700/1 be selected?
It can be appropriate where the required airflow is within the SV 700/1 range but the system resistance exceeds the vacuum or pressure capability of the lower-powered version.
Does the blower require oil in the compression chamber?
No. The SV 700/1 uses oil-free side channel compression.
Can you help if I only have the existing blower nameplate?
Yes. Send Vacuum Pumps UK a clear photograph of the Becker blower and motor nameplates and we can assist with identification and replacement selection.
