Becker SV 700/1 11 kW Side Channel Blower
The Becker SV 700/1 11 kW is the high-differential fixed-speed configuration in the SV 700/1 family, combining 750 m³/h nominal 50 Hz airflow with strong vacuum and positive-pressure performance.
Maximum relative vacuum is -360 mbar and maximum positive pressure is +400 mbar at 50 Hz. At 60 Hz the corresponding 13.2 kW motor increases nominal flow to 900 m³/h while the maximum vacuum and pressure ratings remain -360 mbar and +400 mbar.
The high available differential makes this configuration particularly relevant to restrictive conveying, blast-air and process systems where a lower-powered SV 700/1 may not provide sufficient operating margin.

High Differential Performance from the SV 700/1
The 11 kW SV 700/1 is designed for applications where simply moving a large volume of air is not enough. Its 750 m³/h nominal 50 Hz capacity is combined with considerably greater vacuum and pressure capability than the lower-powered configurations in the same series.
On vacuum duty the blower can operate to -360 mbar relative. On positive-pressure duty it is rated to +400 mbar. This enables the blower to overcome considerably greater system resistance while retaining the fundamental SV 700/1 airflow platform.
That additional differential can be important in pneumatic conveying, blast-air systems, restrictive process equipment and installations containing longer pipe runs or greater pressure losses. However, the maximum figure should not be treated as the normal design duty. Blower selection should be based on the airflow required at the actual operating differential.
The impeller and side channel produce compression aerodynamically, without rubbing compression elements in the process-air path. The compression chamber therefore requires no lubricating oil.
As operating differential rises, system design becomes increasingly important. Adequate pipework size, clean filtration, unrestricted cooling and correctly selected relief protection all help keep the blower operating within its intended limits.
Becker SV 700/1 11 kW Technical Specifications
At 60 Hz the corresponding motor rating is 13.2 kW and nominal volume flow increases to 900 m³/h. Maximum relative vacuum and positive pressure remain -360 mbar and +400 mbar respectively.

Key Features of the SV 700/1 11 kW
+400 mbar Pressure
Strong positive-pressure capability makes this configuration suitable for demanding conveying, blast-air and process systems.
-360 mbar Vacuum
High relative vacuum capability supports suction applications operating against substantial inlet restriction.
High Air Volume
Provides 750 m³/h nominal airflow at 50 Hz and 900 m³/h when operated at 60 Hz.
Oil-Free Airflow
No lubricating oil is used within the compression chamber, helping provide clean process air.
Integrated Silencers
Becker incorporates inlet and discharge silencers into the SV 700/1 blower construction.
Non-Contact Design
The aerodynamic compression principle avoids rubbing compression components within the air chamber.
Demanding Vacuum and Positive-Pressure Applications
The combination of substantial volume flow and high available differential makes the 11 kW SV 700/1 particularly useful where the process presents greater resistance than a conventional high-airflow duty.

SV 700/1 11 kW Supply and Application Support
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with the supply of Becker SV 700/1 11 kW blowers for new projects, equipment replacement and maintenance requirements.
For an existing installation, send us both the blower and motor nameplate. This is especially important with the SV 700/1 because the same base model is available with different motor powers and substantially different operating limits.
For a new duty, the normal airflow and differential should be established rather than selecting solely from the maximum -360 or +400 mbar figures. We can also consider system factors such as filtration, pipework resistance and relief protection when discussing the blower requirement.
Accessories for High-Differential SV 700/1 Systems
Operating a blower at higher vacuum or pressure differential places greater importance on the surrounding system. Restrictions that may be relatively insignificant at free airflow can become important as the blower works harder against the process.
Inlet Filters
Adequately sized filters protect the air path while minimising additional vacuum loss as the element loads with contamination.
Vacuum Relief Valves
Relief protection can prevent excessive vacuum differential if suction pipework or filters become restricted.
Pressure Relief Valves
Particularly important on high-pressure duties where blocked discharge lines or closed valves could rapidly increase differential.
Installation Components
Correct pipe bore, flexible connections, non-return valves and system fittings help minimise avoidable pressure losses.
Becker SV 700/1 11 kW Service, Repair and Spare Parts
The non-contact side channel principle reduces wear within the compression mechanism, but higher-differential operation means the condition of the complete installation remains particularly important.
Dirty filters, process blockage, undersized pipework or incorrectly adjusted relief valves can increase blower differential and operating temperature. A system restriction can therefore produce symptoms that initially appear to be a blower fault.
If an SV 700/1 runs hot, becomes noisy, develops vibration or no longer provides the expected performance, Vacuum Pumps UK can help investigate both the blower condition and the connected system.
Blower Service
Technical support for Becker side channel blower maintenance, airflow issues and system-related operating problems.
Blower Repair
Workshop inspection and repair assessment for noisy, damaged or under-performing units, including bearing and motor faults.
Spare Parts

Becker SV 700/1 11 kW Frequently Asked Questions
What airflow does the Becker SV 700/1 11 kW provide?
Nominal volume flow is 750 m³/h at 50 Hz and 900 m³/h at 60 Hz.
What is the maximum vacuum?
Maximum relative vacuum is -360 mbar at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
What is the maximum positive pressure?
The SV 700/1 11 kW is rated to +400 mbar relative positive pressure at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
Why use the 11 kW version when the smaller models also provide 750 m³/h?
The larger motor does not increase the nominal 50 Hz airflow. Its principal purpose is to allow the blower to operate against a substantially greater vacuum or pressure differential.
Is +400 mbar the pressure the blower should normally operate at?
No. It is the maximum relative pressure rating. The blower should be selected according to the airflow required at the application’s normal operating differential.
What can cause excessive temperature on a high-differential side channel blower?
System restriction can be an important factor. Dirty filters, restricted pipework, closed valves or incorrect relief arrangements can increase differential and operating temperature.
Can Vacuum Pumps UK supply and repair Becker SV blowers?
