Becker SV 700/2 7.5 kW Side Channel Blower
The Becker SV 700/2 7.5 kW is a high-differential double-stage side channel blower combining 375 m³/h nominal capacity with strong vacuum and particularly high positive-pressure performance.
At 50 Hz it provides maximum relative vacuum of -400 mbar and maximum positive pressure of +500 mbar. At 60 Hz the corresponding 9 kW motor increases nominal flow to 435 m³/h while maintaining -400 mbar maximum vacuum and providing up to +450 mbar positive pressure.
The larger motor allows the SV 700/2 to work against considerably greater system resistance than the 5.5 kW configuration without increasing its nominal 50 Hz free-air capacity.

High Differential with 375 m³/h Nominal Airflow
The SV 700/2 7.5 kW is the higher-differential configuration within the fixed-speed SV 700/2 range. Although nominal capacity remains 375 m³/h at 50 Hz, maximum positive pressure rises to +500 mbar and maximum relative vacuum reaches -400 mbar.
This makes the larger motor version particularly relevant where system resistance is high. Pneumatic conveying, blast-air, vacuum handling and process machinery can all require useful airflow while operating against a significant pressure differential.
The double-stage arrangement passes process air through two successive side channels. Energy is repeatedly transferred from the rotating impeller to the gas, allowing greater vacuum or discharge pressure to be developed without using rubbing compression elements.
The air path is oil-free and non-contact. There are no vanes rubbing against a compression chamber and no lubricating oil is required in the process-air path, making the blower suitable for clean-air industrial duties.
At up to +500 mbar pressure, system design becomes particularly important. Pipe bore, filtration, valves, process restrictions and relief protection can all affect the final operating point and should be considered when selecting the blower.
Becker SV 700/2 7.5 kW Technical Specifications
At 60 Hz the corresponding motor rating is 9 kW and nominal volume flow increases to 435 m³/h. Maximum relative vacuum remains -400 mbar and maximum positive pressure is +450 mbar.

| 60 Hz | 435 m³/h | -400 mbar | +450 mbar | 9 kW | 112 kg |
Vacuum and pressure figures are relative. Weight is 112 kg including motor.
Key Features of the SV 700/2 7.5 kW
+500 mbar Pressure
High 50 Hz positive-pressure capability suits restrictive conveying, blowing and process-air systems.
-400 mbar Vacuum
Strong suction differential supports demanding vacuum handling, holding and industrial process duties.
375 m³/h Airflow
Provides substantial process-air volume while retaining high differential capability.
Double-Stage Compression
Two successive side channel stages allow greater pressure differential than a single-stage blower configuration.
Oil-Free Process Air
No lubricating oil is required in the compression chamber, helping provide clean airflow to the application.
Integrated Silencers
Inlet and discharge silencers are incorporated into the blower construction to help manage operating noise.
High-Differential Industrial Applications
The 7.5 kW SV 700/2 is particularly suited where substantial airflow must be maintained against high vacuum or discharge resistance.
› Pneumatic conveying
› Blast-air systems
› Waste Water Aeration equipment
› Industrial drying
› Restrictive process-air systems
› Vacuum lifting and handling
› Vacuum fixing and clamping
› Printing and paper machinery
› Packaging machinery
› General industrial machinery
SV 700/2 7.5 kW Supply and Duty Selection
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with Becker SV 700/2 7.5 kW supply for replacement equipment, industrial machinery and new vacuum or positive-pressure systems.
For an existing blower, provide the complete Becker and motor nameplate details. This is particularly useful because the 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW SV 700/2 versions share the same nominal 50 Hz airflow while offering significantly different differential performance.
For new installations, provide the required volume flow at the normal operating vacuum or positive pressure. Significant pipework, filtration, valves and process restrictions can then be considered alongside the blower performance.
At up to +500 mbar positive pressure, relief protection and correct system design are particularly important to keep the blower within its intended operating conditions.
Accessories for High-Differential SV 700/2 Systems
Correct filtration, pipework and relief protection become increasingly important as differential rises. The installation should support the required airflow without creating avoidable additional resistance.
Inlet Filters
Suitable filtration protects the blower while minimising unnecessary inlet pressure loss as the element loads.
Vacuum Relief Valves
Vacuum relief can protect the blower where suction-side restriction could push differential beyond the intended duty.
Pressure Relief Valves
Pressure relief is especially relevant where a blocked discharge could rapidly increase differential on a high-pressure installation.
Installation Accessories
Correct pipe bore, flexible connectors and non-return valves can help minimise avoidable system losses.
Becker SV 700/2 7.5 kW Service, Repair and Spare Parts
The SV 700/2 uses non-contact compression, but reliable operation still depends on the condition of the motor, bearings, impeller and the resistance presented by the connected system.
On high-differential installations, dirty filtration, closed valves, process restrictions or unsuitable pipework can increase blower load and operating temperature. System conditions should therefore be considered alongside the blower itself when investigating a performance problem.
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with Becker SV blower servicing, fault investigation and workshop repair.
Blower Service
Technical support for Becker blower maintenance, operating conditions and performance issues.
Blower Repair
Workshop investigation of noisy, damaged, overheating or under-performing Becker side channel blowers.
Spare Parts
Becker replacement filters and spare parts are available through our sister company VacAir Superstore.
Becker SV 700/2 7.5 kW Frequently Asked Questions
What airflow does the Becker SV 700/2 7.5 kW provide?
Nominal volume flow is 375 m³/h at 50 Hz and 435 m³/h at 60 Hz.
What maximum vacuum can it produce?
Maximum relative vacuum is -400 mbar at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
What is the maximum positive pressure?
Maximum relative pressure is +500 mbar at 50 Hz and +450 mbar at 60 Hz.
How does the 7.5 kW SV 700/2 differ from the 5.5 kW version?
Both provide the same nominal 375 m³/h capacity at 50 Hz. The 7.5 kW version increases maximum vacuum from -390 to -400 mbar and positive pressure from +330 to +500 mbar.
Why does the larger motor not increase nominal 50 Hz airflow?
The additional motor power is primarily used to allow the blower to operate against greater vacuum or pressure differential rather than increasing the nominal free-air capacity.
Does the SV 700/2 require oil in the compression chamber?
No. Side channel compression is oil-free and non-contact within the process-air path.
Can Vacuum Pumps UK help select between the two SV 700/2 motor versions?
Yes. Provide the required airflow and normal operating vacuum or pressure, or send us the complete nameplate details from an existing blower, and we can assist with selection and supply.
