DVP LC12WR Water-Resistant Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump
The DVP LC12WR is a specialist oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump designed for processes where high concentrations of water vapour or condensate may enter the vacuum system.
Its oil and water separation system makes it particularly suitable for wet machining applications, including CNC stone cutting, marble processing and glass machinery, where a standard oil lubricated vacuum pump may be unsuitable.
Vacuum Pumps UK is the UK & Ireland Master Agent for DVP Vacuum Technology.

DVP LC12WR Overview
The DVP LC12WR shares many of the compact and dependable characteristics of the standard LC12, but incorporates a specialist system that separates water condensate from the vacuum pump oil.
Separated condensate is discharged when the pump is stopped, helping protect the oil and internal pump components where significant quantities of water vapour may be drawn into the vacuum system.
This construction allows the LC12WR to operate in applications where a conventional oil lubricated rotary vane pump could suffer from oil contamination, corrosion, loss of vacuum performance or premature wear.
The LC12WR is suitable for continuous suction within a pressure range from 400 to 50 mbar absolute.
Designed for Water Vapour and Condensate
The defining advantage of the LC12WR is its ability to handle processes containing much higher concentrations of water vapour than a standard oil lubricated vacuum pump.
During wet stone, marble and glass machining, cooling water and moisture can be drawn towards the vacuum system. If this condensate mixes with the vacuum pump oil, it can create emulsification, corrosion, reduced lubrication and deterioration in vacuum performance.
The LC12WR separates the water condensate from the oil and expels the collected water when the pump is stopped. This makes it particularly suitable for wet production processes where water vapour cannot be avoided.

Why Choose the DVP LC12WR?
The LC12WR is a good choice where an ordinary oil lubricated rotary vane pump may be vulnerable to water contamination from the process.
It combines a compact design with an oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, continuously operating oil recovery valve, continuously operating gas ballast and a dedicated oil and water separation system.
Vacuum Pumps UK can support the DVP LC12WR with pump selection, replacement advice, service support, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.
Key LC12WR Features
Oil and Water Separation
The specialist separation device separates water condensate from the vacuum pump oil, with the collected water expelled when the pump stops.
Continuous Gas Ballast
The continuously operating gas ballast helps the pump manage condensable vapours entering the vacuum system.
Continuous Oil Recovery
The continuously operating oil recovery valve helps return separated oil to the pump and supports stable operation.
Exhaust Mist Control
The exhaust mist eliminator helps reduce oil mist emissions when the pump is operated and maintained correctly.
DVP LC12 or LC12WR?
The standard LC12 is suitable for general vacuum duties and offers an ultimate vacuum of 2 mbar absolute. The LC12WR is intended for applications where greater quantities of water vapour or condensate are present.
Because of its water separation system, the LC12WR has a continuous operating range from 400 to 50 mbar absolute. It should therefore be selected according to the process vacuum requirement as well as the quantity of water vapour entering the pump.
Our technical team can review the application and advise whether the standard LC12, the water-resistant LC12WR or another DVP model is the more appropriate choice.
Repair or Replace Your Existing Pump?
Where a standard vacuum pump is repeatedly suffering from contaminated or emulsified oil, the problem may be caused by water vapour entering from the process rather than a simple mechanical fault.
A repair may restore the pump temporarily, but replacing it with a pump designed for wet duties may provide a more reliable long-term solution.
We can assess the existing pump, process conditions and required vacuum level before advising whether repair, refurbishment or replacement with an LC12WR is appropriate.
Replacement Pump Guide
Oil Becoming Milky or Emulsified?
Milky or emulsified oil can indicate that water is entering the vacuum pump. The LC12WR may provide a more suitable solution where process vapour cannot be avoided.
Replacing a Stone or Marble Machine Pump?
The LC12WR is particularly suited to wet stone and marble machinery where water vapour or condensate is drawn into the vacuum system.
Replacing a Glass Machine Pump?
For CNC glass cutting, processing and handling machinery, we can assess the moisture level and required vacuum before confirming whether the LC12WR is suitable.
Replacing Another Make?
Send us the pump make, model number or a photograph of the nameplate and we will advise the nearest suitable DVP option.
Not Sure Whether You Need a Water-Resistant Pump?
Tell us what the machine is processing, whether water is used during production and the condition of the existing pump oil.
We can assess whether water vapour is likely to be entering the pump and recommend the most appropriate DVP model for the application.

DVP LC12WR Frequently Asked Questions
What is different about the DVP LC12WR?
The LC12WR incorporates a system that separates water condensate from the vacuum pump oil. The collected condensate is expelled when the pump is stopped.
Is the LC12WR suitable for stone and marble cutting?
Yes. It is particularly suitable for wet stone and marble cutting processes where water vapour may be drawn into the vacuum system.
Can the LC12WR be used on glass machinery?
Yes. It may be suitable for CNC glass cutting, glass processing and handling machinery where moisture or condensate is present.
What is the operating pressure range of the LC12WR?
The LC12WR is suitable for continuous suction within a pressure range from 400 to 50 mbar absolute.
Why does the LC12WR not reach the same ultimate vacuum as the standard LC12?
The LC12WR is designed primarily to handle high water vapour concentrations. Its operating range and water separation construction differ from the standard LC12, which is intended for drier applications and deeper vacuum.
What oil does the DVP LC12WR use?
The LC12WR is supplied with DVP SW40 vacuum pump oil.
Can the LC12WR replace another vacuum pump?
Potentially, yes. The required capacity, operating pressure, vapour loading, motor specification and installation should all be checked before confirming a replacement.
Can you help with service and repair?
Yes. Vacuum Pumps UK can help with pump selection and replacement advice, while service and repair support is available through our sister company VacAir Superstore.
