Becker SV 201/1 1.50 kW Side Channel Blower
The Becker SV 201/1 1.50 kW is a versatile single-stage side channel blower combining 190 m³/h nominal airflow with a considerably stronger vacuum and pressure differential than the lower-powered SV 201/1 configuration.
At 50 Hz the blower can operate to -220 mbar relative vacuum and +210 mbar positive pressure. At 60 Hz the corresponding 1.80 kW configuration provides 230 m³/h, with maximum vacuum of -210 mbar and maximum pressure of +200 mbar.
This balance of airflow and differential pressure makes the 1.50 kW SV 201/1 suitable for a wide range of handling, conveying, holding and process-air duties where system resistance is too high for the 1.10 kW version.

Why the SV 201/1 1.50 kW is Different
The 1.50 kW version sits in the middle of the SV 201/1 performance range. It retains the same 190 m³/h nominal 50 Hz airflow as the other motor versions but provides a significant increase in the differential pressure available at both inlet and discharge.
This matters when a blower is working through longer pipework, filters, tooling or other system restrictions. A nominal flow figure alone does not show whether a blower can maintain the required airflow once a vacuum or positive-pressure differential is imposed.
The SV 201/1 generates its pressure through a rotating impeller and annular side channel. The compression mechanism is non-contact, so there are no sliding compression vanes and no lubricating oil is required within the air path.
For industrial users, this provides clean process air and relatively low routine maintenance. Integrated inlet and discharge silencers help control noise, while sealed bearings remove the need for regular bearing greasing.
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with matching an existing blower or establishing the operating point for a new application. For best selection, provide both required flow and normal working vacuum or pressure.
SV 201/1 1.50 kW Performance Data
At 60 Hz the blower uses a 1.80 kW motor and nominal capacity increases to 230 m³/h. The maximum permitted vacuum and pressure differential changes slightly with frequency.
| Frequency | Nominal Capacity | Maximum Vacuum | Maximum Pressure | Motor Power | Noise Level |
| 50 Hz | 190 m³/h | -220 mbar | +210 mbar | 1.50 kW | 65.0–66.5 dB(A) |
| 60 Hz | 230 m³/h | -210 mbar | +200 mbar | 1.80 kW | 68.0–68.2 dB(A) |
Weight: 28.5 kg with motor.
Vacuum and pressure values are relative. Becker’s vacuum and pressure listings quote slightly different sound levels, so the published range is shown.
SV 201/1 1.50 kW Features
Balanced Flow and Differential
Combines 190 m³/h nominal flow with substantially greater vacuum and pressure capability than the smaller motor configuration.
Oil-Free Airflow
No oil is used in the compression chamber, making the blower suitable for clean industrial air applications.
Contact-Free Compression
The impeller produces pressure without mechanical rubbing contact in the air chamber.
Quiet Installation
Integrated suction and discharge silencers help minimise the need for separate silencing equipment.
Sealed Bearings
Bearing greasing is eliminated as part of the low-maintenance blower design.
Vacuum or Pressure Duty
Can provide suction or positive-pressure air depending on how it is connected into the system.
Industrial Uses for the Becker SV 201/1 1.50 kW
The 1.50 kW motor makes this version useful where equipment requires both useful airflow and a moderate-to-high differential pressure. Typical installations span manufacturing, handling, conveying and process machinery.
› Vacuum lifting and holding
› Printing and paper handling
› Packaging and filling machinery
› Vacuum clamping
› Automated component handling
› Pneumatic conveying
› Blowing and injecting
› Process drying
› Cooling air
› Mechanical engineering systems
Supply and Replacement of SV 201/1 1.50 kW Blowers
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with Becker SV 201/1 1.50 kW requirements for machinery replacement and new installations.
When replacing an existing unit, the motor plate is important because the SV 201/1 family contains several motor ratings. Although nominal airflow can be similar, the maximum vacuum and positive-pressure performance changes significantly between versions.
For a new installation, provide the airflow requirement, the normal system vacuum or pressure, electrical supply and information about the process. This allows the blower to be assessed against a realistic operating point rather than solely against its maximum limit.
Accessories and System Protection
Filtration, relief protection and correctly sized connection equipment all contribute to reliable side channel blower operation. This is particularly important when the blower is working against significant system resistance.
Air Filtration
Suitable filters help keep contaminants away from the impeller and internal air passages.
Vacuum Protection
Vacuum relief valves can prevent excessive inlet differential if pipework resistance or process conditions change.
Pressure Protection
Relief valves can safeguard the blower against excessive positive pressure on discharge-air applications.
Installation Components
Flexible connectors, non-return valves, silencers and suitable pipework fittings can be supplied around the installation.
Becker SV 201/1 Service, Repair and Spare Parts
Although the SV 201/1 does not use contacting compression vanes, bearings, motors and the overall airflow system remain subject to normal industrial wear and operating conditions.
Changes in blower sound, excessive vibration, loss of vacuum or pressure, reduced airflow and unusual temperature should all be investigated. In many cases the cause can be external to the blower, such as a dirty filter or a restriction in the connected pipework.
Vacuum Pumps UK can inspect Becker side channel blowers, identify likely causes of poor performance and provide workshop repair support where required.
Blower Service
Technical assistance for blower maintenance, performance checks and operating problems.
Blower Repair
Workshop inspection and repair assessment for damaged, noisy or poorly performing Becker blowers.

Becker SV 201/1 1.50 kW FAQs
How much airflow does the Becker SV 201/1 1.50 kW provide?
Nominal volume flow is 190 m³/h at 50 Hz and 230 m³/h at 60 Hz.
What is its maximum vacuum?
The maximum relative vacuum is -220 mbar at 50 Hz and -210 mbar at 60 Hz.
What is the maximum positive pressure?
The blower can operate to +210 mbar relative pressure at 50 Hz and +200 mbar at 60 Hz.
How does it differ from the 1.10 kW SV 201/1?
Both have similar nominal airflow, but the 1.50 kW motor configuration can operate against a substantially greater vacuum or positive-pressure differential.
Is the blower dry running?
