Becker SV 300/1 2.20 kW Side Channel Blower
The Becker SV 300/1 2.20 kW is a single-stage side channel blower designed for industrial applications where a relatively high volume of oil-free airflow is required at a moderate vacuum or positive-pressure differential.
At 50 Hz, nominal capacity is 325 m³/h with maximum relative vacuum of -170 mbar and maximum positive pressure of +165 mbar. At 60 Hz, the corresponding 2.65 kW motor provides 390 m³/h, with maximum vacuum of -155 mbar and pressure of +140 mbar.
The 2.20 kW version is therefore particularly useful where airflow volume is the primary requirement and the connected system does not impose a high resistance. Typical duties include sheet handling, cooling air, drying, light conveying and general machine airflow.

High Airflow from a Compact Single-Stage Blower
The SV 300/1 works by accelerating air through a rotating impeller and side channel. As air passes repeatedly through the side channel, energy is transferred into the airflow and a pressure difference is created between inlet and discharge.
This method of compression does not rely on sliding vanes, pistons or lubricated contact surfaces within the air chamber. The compression process is therefore dry and oil-free, making the blower useful where clean process air is required.
The 2.20 kW motor configuration is the lowest-powered standard SV 300/1 version, but it still provides a nominal 325 m³/h at 50 Hz. Its operating range is aimed more at high-flow applications than at duties requiring a large pressure differential.
This distinction is important when comparing SV 300/1 versions. The 2.20, 3.00 and 4.00 kW configurations all share the same nominal free-air capacity, but the larger motors allow the blower to operate against substantially greater vacuum or discharge pressure.
Integrated inlet and discharge silencers, sealed bearings and horizontal pedestal mounting help make the SV 300/1 suitable for installation as part of industrial and OEM machinery.

Key Features of the SV 300/1 2.20 kW
325 m³/h Airflow
Provides a substantial volume of air at 50 Hz, making this version suitable for machinery that needs continuous airflow without a very high system differential.
Oil-Free Air Path
No lubricating oil is used within the compression chamber, helping keep the process air free from pump oil contamination.
Non-Contact Compression
The impeller operates without rubbing contact against the side channel, reducing wear in the air-handling mechanism.
Integrated Silencers
Inlet and discharge silencing is incorporated into the blower, helping reduce installation complexity and control operating sound.
Sealed Bearings
Sealed bearing construction eliminates routine bearing greasing and contributes to the blower’s low-maintenance design.
Vacuum or Pressure Operation
The same blower can be used on the suction or discharge side of a system depending on the application and installation arrangement.
Where the SV 300/1 2.20 kW Fits
This version is best suited to applications where airflow volume is important but the connected system has relatively modest resistance.
› Printing press sheet handling
› Paper transport and separation
› Packaging machinery
› Light vacuum lifting
› Automated handling systems
› Cooling and ventilation air
› Drying processes
› Light pneumatic conveying
› Aeration
› General OEM machinery
Supply and Replacement of Becker SV 300/1 Blowers
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with new SV 300/1 blower requirements for machinery replacement, maintenance planning and new equipment installations.
For an existing unit, send us the complete blower and motor nameplates. Motor rating is particularly important because all three standard SV 300/1 versions have the same nominal airflow but significantly different vacuum and positive-pressure capabilities.
For a new process, tell us the required airflow together with the normal vacuum or discharge pressure. We can then consider the blower against the actual system duty rather than choosing solely by free-air capacity.
Accessories for Becker SV 300/1 Blowers
The blower should be considered as part of a complete airflow system. Correct filtration, relief protection and connection components can help maintain performance and protect the blower against unsuitable operating conditions.
Inlet Filters
Filter housings and replacement elements help prevent dust and debris entering the blower and restricting the side channel.
Vacuum Relief Valves
Vacuum relief can admit additional air if suction resistance rises above the intended operating range.
Pressure Relief Valves
Pressure relief helps protect against excessive discharge back pressure caused by restrictions or changing process conditions.
Installation Accessories
Flexible connectors, non-return valves, silencers and suitable pipework components can be selected around the blower installation.
Becker SV 300/1 Service, Repair and Spare Parts
Although the side channel compression process is non-contact and requires relatively little routine maintenance, the blower still depends on sound bearings, a healthy motor and unrestricted airflow through the connected system.
Reduced airflow, unusual noise, vibration or increased temperature can be caused by internal wear or by external conditions such as dirty filters, damaged pipework, closed valves or excessive system resistance.
Vacuum Pumps UK can assist with inspection, servicing, fault diagnosis and workshop repair of Becker side channel blowers.
Blower Service
Technical support for Becker blower maintenance, performance checks and operating-condition problems.
Blower Repair
Workshop inspection and repair assessment for noisy, damaged or under-performing Becker side channel blowers.

Becker SV 300/1 2.20 kW Frequently Asked Questions
What is the airflow of the Becker SV 300/1 2.20 kW?
Nominal volume flow is 325 m³/h at 50 Hz and 390 m³/h at 60 Hz.
What vacuum can it produce?
Maximum relative vacuum is -170 mbar at 50 Hz and -155 mbar at 60 Hz.
Can the SV 300/1 2.20 kW operate as a pressure blower?
Yes. Maximum positive pressure is +165 mbar at 50 Hz and +140 mbar at 60 Hz.
Why does it have the same airflow as the larger SV 300/1 motors?
The nominal free-air capacity is the same, but the larger motor configurations allow the blower to operate against a greater vacuum or pressure differential.
Is the blower oil-free?
Yes. The air chamber operates without lubricating oil.
Does the SV 300/1 use carbon vanes?
No. It uses a rotating impeller and side channel rather than sliding rotary vanes.
How do I identify the correct SV 300/1 version?
Check the blower and motor nameplates, particularly motor power and electrical frequency. A clear photograph can help us identify the configuration.
