Becker SV7.430/2 4kW Side Channel Blower
The Becker SV7.430/2 is a two-stage regenerative blower delivering 235 m³/h nominal capacity with maximum relative vacuum of -325 mbar and maximum positive pressure of +430 mbar.
Driven by a 4kW motor at 50 Hz, this configuration combines useful industrial airflow with considerably stronger pressure than vacuum performance. This makes the SV7.430/2 particularly relevant to blowing and process-air duties where resistance within pipework or machinery requires a substantial positive differential.
Its regenerative compression principle operates without sliding vanes and without lubricating oil in the process-air chamber.

Higher Airflow with Pressure-Oriented Performance
The SV7.430/2 has a noticeably different performance balance from the other SV7 two-stage models. Its nominal capacity increases to 235 m³/h, while maximum relative pressure reaches +430 mbar compared with maximum relative vacuum of -325 mbar.
That combination is particularly useful when considering positive-pressure applications. A blower used to move air through pipework, diffusers, process equipment or conveying systems must overcome the resistance generated by the installation. The SV7.430/2 provides both a useful air volume and a substantial available pressure differential for these duties.
The model is equally capable of operating on the suction side where its -325 mbar maximum relative vacuum can support vacuum handling, extraction and other industrial suction applications.
Within the two-stage regenerative mechanism, rotating impellers transfer energy into the air as it repeatedly circulates through the side channel. Passing through successive stages allows a greater differential to be developed than with a comparable single-stage arrangement.
This principle provides continuous, non-contact compression without sliding vanes rubbing against the compression chamber. No lubricating oil is required within the process-air path.
Becker SV7.430/2 Technical Specification
The 4kW SV7.430/2 provides 235 m³/h nominal capacity at 50 Hz. Maximum relative vacuum is -325 mbar and maximum relative positive pressure is +430 mbar.
| Model | Stage | Nominal Capacity | Maximum Vacuum | Maximum Pressure | Motor Power |
| SV7.430/2 | Two Stage | 235 m³/h | -325 mbar | +430 mbar | 4kW |
The nominal airflow and maximum differential figures describe different points within the blower’s performance range. Actual available airflow depends upon the pressure or vacuum differential created by the application.
SV7.430/2 Performance Characteristics
235 m³/h Capacity
Useful air volume for medium-sized industrial machinery and process-air systems.
+430 mbar Pressure
Strong positive-pressure performance for applications involving significant downstream resistance.
-325 mbar Vacuum
Provides useful suction capability for industrial handling and extraction duties.
Two-Stage Compression
Successive regenerative sections increase the available operating differential.
4kW Motor Drive
The 50 Hz specification is paired with a 4kW electric motor.
Oil-Free Compression
No lubricating oil is introduced into the process air by the regenerative compression mechanism.
Applications for the SV7.430/2
The higher positive-pressure capability makes this configuration particularly interesting for blowing duties, although the blower can also be used on the vacuum side of suitable systems.
› Aeration systems
› Drying and cooling
› Process-air delivery
› Printing and paper machinery
› Packaging equipment

Replacing an Existing SV7.430/2
Older Becker side channel blowers are frequently encountered as components within production equipment, and the surrounding machine can remain perfectly serviceable even when its original blower eventually requires attention.
When identifying an SV7.430/2 for replacement, photographs of the complete blower, Becker identification plate and motor nameplate are useful. Port arrangement and mounting details can also help when considering the existing installation.
If the duty is known, tell us whether the blower operates on vacuum or pressure and provide any available information about the process. This allows replacement selection to consider the actual operating requirement as well as the original model.
Blower Accessories and System Protection
Maintaining unrestricted airflow is particularly important on side channel blowers. Dirty filters, undersized pipework or excessive system restriction can increase differential and operating temperature.
Inlet Filtration
Helps prevent contamination from entering the blower while maintaining the required airflow.
Pressure Relief
Can limit excessive differential if a pressure-side system becomes more restrictive than intended.
Silencers
Suitable inlet or discharge silencers can reduce transmitted blower noise within an installation.
Pipework Components
Correctly sized connections, valves and flexible connectors help avoid unnecessary system losses.
SV7.430/2 Service and Repair
Side channel blowers have relatively few wearing compression components, but bearings, motors and other mechanical parts remain subject to normal service wear. The operating condition of the system can also have a significant effect upon blower temperature and loading.
Changes in noise, vibration, airflow or temperature should therefore be investigated rather than simply assuming that the blower requires replacement.
Vacuum Pumps UK can inspect Becker side channel blowers in our workshop and provide servicing, fault diagnosis and repair support.
Inspection
