Description

DVP CPV 4/8 Portable Vacuum System

The DVP CPV 4/8 combines a DVP LC4 oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump with an integrated 8 litre buffer receiver to provide a compact, self-contained source of vacuum for construction and industrial applications.

The receiver stores vacuum within the system and provides a practical reserve for connected suction cups, fastening equipment and other applications where a stable vacuum supply is required.

the CPV 4/8 mains-powered industrial vacuum system and is supplied with a power lead. Its compact design simply makes it practical to move between work areas, machinery or locations on a construction site when required.

Vacuum Pumps UK is the UK & Ireland Master Agent for DVP Vacuum Technology.

What is the DVP CPV 4/8?

The DVP CPV 4/8 is the smallest and most easily relocated system within the DVP CPV range. It is designed around a lubricated LC4 rotary vane vacuum pump mounted directly above an 8 litre tank.

The tank acts as a buffer receiver, storing vacuum and providing a reserve that can be used by connected equipment. This is particularly useful where demand is intermittent or where a connected device requires a stable vacuum source rather than relying solely on the instantaneous capacity of the pump.

A ball valve provides the connection to the user equipment, while the vacuum gauge continuously displays the pressure inside the receiver. The system is supplied as a complete assembly with the essential controls and connections already fitted.

How the CPV 4/8 Works

1. Vacuum Generation

The LC4 oil lubricated rotary vane pump evacuates the receiver and connected vacuum line.

2. Vacuum Storage

The 8 litre tank stores vacuum and provides a useful reserve for the connected equipment.

3. Pressure Monitoring

The fitted vacuum gauge continuously shows the pressure level inside the receiver.

4. Equipment Connection

The connected device is supplied through the plant connection ball valve fitted to the unit.

Why Choose the CPV 4/8?

Integrated Vacuum Reserve

The 8 litre receiver provides stored vacuum for intermittent demand and helps maintain a more consistent supply to connected equipment.

Compact Assembly

The pump, receiver, gauge, valves and controls are combined into one self-contained unit.

Easy to Relocate

Its compact design allows it to be moved around a construction site or workshop more easily than a fixed larger-capacity system.

Complete DVP System

Supplied as an engineered system rather than a separate pump and receiver requiring independent assembly.

Typical CPV 4/8 Applications

DVP developed the CPV 4/8 primarily for construction applications and other duties where a compact, easily relocated buffer receiver is required.

› Construction-site vacuum equipment

› Core drilling and coring equipment

› Planing machinery

› Suction cup systems

› Vacuum fastening equipment

› Compact workshop vacuum applications

Application suitability should be checked against the required pumping speed, vacuum level, receiver volume, operating cycle and any possibility of liquid entering the vacuum line.

Information Required for Selection

› Equipment manufacturer and model

› Required vacuum level

› Required pumping speed

› Operating cycle

› Number and size of connected devices

› Hose diameter and length

› Electrical supply

› Possibility of liquid carry-over

DVP CPV 4/8 Frequently Asked Questions

What is the DVP CPV 4/8?

It is a compact vacuum system combining a DVP LC4 oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump with an integrated 8 litre buffer receiver.

Why does the system include a receiver?

The receiver stores vacuum and provides a reserve for connected equipment. This helps provide a more stable supply where demand is intermittent.

Is the CPV 4/8 battery powered?

No. It is a mains-powered industrial vacuum system. DVP describes it as portable because its compact design makes it practical to relocate around a site or workshop.

Can the CPV 4/8 power suction cups?

Yes. DVP specifically identifies suction cups and fastening equipment among the intended uses, subject to the required pumping speed, vacuum level and operating cycle.

Is the CPV 4/8 a liquid-separator system?

No. It has a receiver drainage cap, but it does not include the full cyclone separation, liquid-level monitoring, automatic drain and WR-series pump arrangement used on the larger CPV liquid-separator systems.

What applications is it designed for?

DVP developed the unit primarily for construction applications, including equipment such as corers and planing machines, and wherever a compact buffer receiver is required.

What is the nominal pumping speed?

The nominal capacity is 4 m³/h at 50 Hz and 4.5 m³/h at 60 Hz.

What final pressure can it achieve?

The published total final pressure is 2 mbar absolute.

Can Vacuum Pumps UK help confirm whether it is suitable?

Yes. Send us the equipment details, required vacuum level, operating cycle, hose arrangement and electrical supply, and we can help assess the application.
