DVP LC8 Overview

The DVP LC8 is a compact oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump suitable for small machinery, bench-top equipment and applications where a reliable source of vacuum is required without using a larger industrial pump.

With a nominal capacity of 8 m³/h at 50Hz and 9 m³/h at 60Hz, the LC8 provides increased capacity compared with the smaller LC2 and LC4 models while still remaining compact and easy to install.

For many customers, the LC8 is chosen as an equivalent duty replacement for an existing small vacuum pump, or as a practical DVP option for new machinery and compact vacuum installations.

Typical Applications

The DVP LC8 is used across a range of small vacuum applications where compact size, oil lubricated performance and reliable operation are important.

› Small vacuum packaging machines

› Dental suction equipment

› Medical and surgical extraction duties

› Resin mixing and dosing equipment

› Chamber table top machines

› Automatic feeder machines

› Book-binding machinery

› Wood presses and clamping

› Drilling machinery

› Tray loading systems

› Small machine vacuum systems

› General low-capacity vacuum applications

Why Choose the DVP LC8?

The LC8 is a good choice where a customer needs a compact, practical and well-supported oil lubricated vacuum pump with more capacity than the smaller LC2 and LC4 models.

It includes useful design features such as an oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, gravity oil recovery valve, thermal protector on single phase versions and an adjustable intake connection.

Vacuum Pumps UK can support the DVP LC8 with pump selection, replacement advice, service support, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.

Key LC8 Features

Compact Design

The LC8 provides useful vacuum capacity in a compact pump design, making it suitable for smaller machinery and limited installation spaces.

Oil Check Valve

The oil check valve helps isolate the equipment when the pump is stopped under vacuum and helps prevent suck back.

Exhaust Mist Control

The in-built damping and recovery system helps control oil vapour at the exhaust when the pump is correctly maintained.

Adjustable Intake

The adjustable intake connection allows the user to position the intake to suit the installation using the special fitting.

Repair or Replace Your Existing Pump?

Replacement is not always the only answer. If your existing small vacuum pump is in reasonable condition, a service or repair may be more economical.

Replacement may make more sense if the pump is badly worn, repeatedly failing, using excessive oil, running hot, becoming noisy, or if parts are becoming difficult to obtain.

We can help compare the options and advise whether your best route is repair, refurbishment, a direct replacement, or a DVP alternative.

Replacement Pump Guide

Replacing a Small Oil Lubricated Pump?

If your existing small oil lubricated vacuum pump has become noisy, unreliable, is losing vacuum or is no longer economical to repair, the DVP LC8 may be a suitable replacement option.

Replacing a Pump on a Packaging Machine?

The LC8 can be considered for smaller vacuum packaging machines where the required vacuum performance and installation details are suitable.

Replacing a Dental or Medical Pump?

For dental, medical or extraction duties, we can review the existing pump and application before recommending whether the LC8 is suitable.

Replacing Another Make?

Send us the pump make, model number or a photograph of the nameplate and we will advise the nearest suitable DVP option. DVP pumps are well-regarded alternatives to brands such as Busch, Becker, Elmo Rietschle and Leybold.

Not Sure Which Pump You Need?

Do not worry if your existing vacuum pump is not listed above. Vacuum Pumps UK regularly helps customers replace small vacuum pumps from many different manufacturers, including older and obsolete models.

If your current pump is becoming unreliable, losing vacuum, producing excessive exhaust mist, becoming expensive to repair or parts are becoming difficult to obtain, the DVP LC8 may provide a practical replacement.

Send us the pump nameplate and we will identify it for you.
