DVP LC106 and LC151 Kzero Overview

The DVP LC106 Kzero and LC151 Kzero are specialist versions of the standard LC106 and LC151 oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps.

They have been developed for industrial sectors where elevated ambient temperatures, process oils and solvent vapours can create difficult operating conditions for a conventional vacuum pump.

The completely redesigned pump body and integrated cooling fan help reduce operating temperature and maintain the condition of the pump oil. The check-valve design also offers improved durability where components may come into contact with oils or solvents.

The fixing points, oil filter and exhaust filter arrangements are shared with the corresponding standard models, helping simplify replacement and installation.

LC106 Kzero and LC151 Kzero Comparison

Both models share the same Kzero construction and continuous operating range. The correct choice depends mainly on the required pumping speed, system volume and evacuation time.

DVP LC106 Kzero

Nominal capacity: 106 m³/h at 50Hz and 127 m³/h at 60Hz.

Continuous operating range: 400 to 4 mbar absolute.

Water vapour capacity: 1 kg/h.

Motor power: 2.2 kW at 50Hz and 2.7 kW at 60Hz.

Suitable where Kzero cooling and solvent-resistant construction are required at the lower of the two available pumping capacities.

DVP LC151 Kzero

Nominal capacity: 151 m³/h at 50Hz and 181 m³/h at 60Hz.

Continuous operating range: 400 to 4 mbar absolute.

Water vapour capacity: 1.4 kg/h.

Motor power: 3.3 kW at 50Hz and 3.7 kW at 60Hz.

Suitable for larger systems and applications requiring a higher pumping speed or faster evacuation.

Designed for High-Temperature Environments

High ambient temperatures can increase vacuum pump operating temperature, accelerate oil deterioration and place additional stress on seals and internal components.

The LC106 Kzero and LC151 Kzero incorporate a redesigned pump body and dedicated cooling fan to improve heat removal and help maintain the condition of the vacuum pump oil.

This makes the Kzero range particularly useful in industrial environments where temperatures may reach 40°C or higher, subject to correct pump selection, ventilation and installation.

Improved Resistance to Oils and Solvents

Industrial cleaning, treatment and degassing processes may expose vacuum pump components to oils, solvents and aggressive process vapours.

The Kzero check-valve construction is designed to offer greater strength and reduced deterioration where these materials come into contact with the internal pump components.

Application suitability should still be checked against the specific solvent, concentration, process temperature and operating cycle before installation.

Typical Applications

The DVP LC106 Kzero and LC151 Kzero are designed for industrial applications where elevated temperatures, oils, solvents or demanding continuous-duty conditions may be present.

› Electronic transformer drying

› Centralised medical vacuum units

› Ceramic extrusion machinery

› Ceramic degassing systems

› High-temperature industrial installations

› Metal washing machines

› Metal treatment machinery

› Solvent-exposed vacuum duties

› OEM machine integration

› Continuous industrial evacuation

Why Choose a DVP Kzero Pump?

The LC106 Kzero and LC151 Kzero are strong options where a standard oil lubricated vacuum pump may be affected by high ambient temperatures or regular exposure to process oils and solvents.

Both pumps include an oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, automatic floating oil recovery valve, shock mounts, oil filter with bypass and flexible transmission coupling.

Vacuum Pumps UK can support both Kzero models with pump selection, replacement advice, service support, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.

Key Kzero Features

Redesigned Pump Body

The renovated pump body has been developed to support operation in industrial environments where elevated temperatures are present.

Additional Cooling Fan

The integrated fan improves heat removal and helps maintain the condition and performance of the vacuum pump oil.

Durable Check-Valve Design

The check-valve construction offers improved strength and reduced deterioration where oils or solvents may be present in the process.

Compatible Installation

The fixing points, oil filter and exhaust filter arrangements correspond with the standard models, helping simplify pump replacement.

Standard LC Pump or Kzero?

The standard LC106 and LC151 pumps are intended for general industrial duties and can achieve a deeper ultimate vacuum than the corresponding Kzero models.

The Kzero versions are designed for applications where lower operating temperature, improved cooling and greater durability in contact with oils or solvents are more important than achieving the deepest possible vacuum.

The LC106 Kzero and LC151 Kzero are suitable for continuous operation between 400 and 4 mbar absolute.

Our technical team can review the ambient temperature, operating pressure, process vapours and required pumping speed before advising whether the standard or Kzero version is more suitable.

Repair or Replace Your Existing Pump?

If an existing vacuum pump repeatedly runs hot, suffers accelerated oil deterioration or develops damage to check-valve components, the surrounding operating conditions may be contributing to the problem.

Repairing the pump may restore performance, but installing a model designed for elevated temperatures and process oils or solvents may provide a more dependable long-term solution.

We can assess the existing pump, ambient temperature, process conditions and required vacuum before advising whether repair, refurbishment or replacement with a Kzero model is appropriate.

Replacement Pump Guide

Existing Pump Running Too Hot?

The redesigned Kzero pump body and additional cooling fan may offer a more suitable solution where ambient temperatures are high.

Choosing LC106 or LC151 Kzero?

The LC106 Kzero suits lower-capacity duties, while the LC151 Kzero provides increased pumping speed for larger systems or faster evacuation.

Components Deteriorating Prematurely?

Repeated deterioration may indicate that oils, solvents or excessive operating temperature are affecting the existing pump.

Replacing Another Make?

Send us the pump make, model number or a photograph of the nameplate and we will advise the nearest suitable DVP option.

Not Sure Which Kzero Model You Need?

Tell us the existing pump model, system volume, operating temperature, process vapours and required evacuation time.

We can compare the LC106 Kzero and LC151 Kzero and recommend the most appropriate pump for the application.

Send us the pump nameplate and details of the process.
