The DVP SB6 Has Been Discontinued
The DVP SB6 is no longer included in the current DVP production range. An existing pump may still be suitable for continued service where its main components remain in serviceable condition and the necessary replacement parts are available.

DVP SB6 Overview
The DVP SB6 was a compact industrial dry-running rotary vane vacuum pump designed to provide oil-free vacuum from a relatively small and lightweight unit.
The pump used a monoblock construction with the rotor assembled directly onto the motor shaft. This reduced the number of separate drive components and helped limit the overall dimensions and weight.
The pump was manufactured mainly from lightweight alloys and could be installed within machinery where available space was restricted, provided that good ventilation remained available around the unit.

The SC8 has a stated ultimate vacuum of 150 mbar absolute, compared with 120 mbar absolute for the SB6. The application must therefore be checked where the original machine depends upon reaching pressures below 150 mbar absolute.
The smaller DVP SC5 may be considered where 5 m³/h at 50Hz and 6 m³/h at 60Hz are sufficient. It retains the 120 mbar absolute ultimate vacuum of the original SB6, but provides less airflow.
