DVP LC25WR Water-Resistant Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump
The DVP LC25WR is a specialist oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump designed for applications where high concentrations of water vapour or condensate may enter the vacuum system.
Its oil and water separation system makes it particularly suitable for wet industrial processes, food packaging machinery and production equipment where a standard oil lubricated pump may be vulnerable to water contamination.
Vacuum Pumps UK is the UK & Ireland Master Agent for DVP Vacuum Technology.

DVP LC25WR Overview
The DVP LC25WR shares the dependable oil lubricated rotary vane design of the standard LC25 but incorporates a specialist system for separating water condensate from the vacuum pump oil.
Water collected within the separation system is expelled when the pump is stopped. This helps reduce oil contamination and makes the LC25WR suitable for applications where considerable quantities of water vapour may enter the vacuum system.
With a nominal capacity of 25 m³/h at 50Hz and 29 m³/h at 60Hz, the LC25WR provides greater pumping capacity than the LC12WR while maintaining the specialist features required for wet or vapour-laden duties.
Designed for Water Vapour and Condensate
The main advantage of the LC25WR is its ability to operate in processes where water vapour may contaminate the oil of a standard rotary vane vacuum pump.
If water mixes with vacuum pump oil, it can create emulsification, reduce lubrication, promote internal corrosion and cause deterioration in vacuum performance.
The LC25WR separates condensate from the oil and discharges the collected water when the pump stops. Its continuously operating gas ballast further assists the handling of condensable vapours.
Typical Applications
The DVP LC25WR is suitable for processes requiring dependable vacuum alongside improved resistance to water vapour and condensate.

› Graphic and paper machinery
› Dental applications
› OEM machine integration
› Evacuation of moist enclosed volumes
› General wet-process vacuum duties
Why Choose the DVP LC25WR?
The LC25WR is a good choice where a conventional oil lubricated vacuum pump may be vulnerable to moisture or water contamination from the production process.
It includes an oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, automatic floating oil recovery valve, continuously operating gas ballast, oil level switch, shock mounts and thermal protection on single-phase versions.
Vacuum Pumps UK can support the LC25WR with pump selection, replacement advice, service support, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.
Key LC25WR Features
Oil and Water Separation
The specialist separation system removes water condensate from the vacuum pump oil and discharges the collected water when the pump stops.
Continuous Gas Ballast
The continuously operating gas ballast helps the pump handle condensable vapours entering the vacuum system.
Automatic Oil Recovery
The automatic floating oil recovery valve helps return separated oil to the pump and supports reliable oil circulation.
Oil Level Monitoring
The oil level switch helps monitor the lubricant level and supports reliable operation and pump protection.
Standard LC25 or LC25WR?
The correct model depends on both the required vacuum performance and the quantity of water vapour entering the pump.
A standard oil lubricated pump may be suitable for dry applications. Where moisture, steam or condensate is regularly drawn into the vacuum system, the LC25WR’s oil and water separation system may offer a more reliable solution.
Our technical team can review the application, process conditions and existing pump before advising which DVP model is most appropriate.
Repair or Replace Your Existing Pump?
If a vacuum pump repeatedly develops milky or emulsified oil, corrosion or reduced vacuum performance, the underlying cause may be water entering from the process.
Repairing the existing pump may restore operation, but replacing it with a model designed for moisture-laden duties may provide a better long-term solution.
We can assess the pump condition and process before advising whether repair, refurbishment or replacement with an LC25WR is appropriate.
Replacement Pump Guide
Oil Becoming Milky?
Milky or emulsified oil can indicate that process water is entering the pump. The LC25WR may provide a more suitable long-term solution.
Replacing a Packaging Pump?
The LC25WR can be considered for packaging applications where moisture or water vapour is regularly drawn into the vacuum system.
Replacing an OEM Machine Pump?
For OEM machinery, we can review the duty cycle, vapour loading, vacuum requirement and installation before confirming whether the LC25WR is suitable.
Replacing Another Make?
Send us the pump make, model number or a photograph of the nameplate and we will advise the nearest suitable DVP option.
Not Sure Whether You Need a Water-Resistant Pump?
Tell us what the machine is processing, whether water or steam is present and what condition the existing vacuum pump oil is in.
We can assess whether process vapour is likely to be entering the pump and recommend the most appropriate DVP model.

DVP LC25WR Frequently Asked Questions
What is different about the DVP LC25WR?
The LC25WR incorporates a system that separates water condensate from the vacuum pump oil. The collected water is expelled when the pump stops.
What is the capacity of the LC25WR?
The LC25WR has a nominal pumping speed of 25 m³/h at 50Hz and 29 m³/h at 60Hz.
What is the ultimate vacuum of the LC25WR?
The stated ultimate vacuum is 4 mbar absolute.
How much water vapour can the LC25WR handle?
The stated maximum water vapour pumping rate is 1.1 kg/h. The actual suitability should still be checked against the process conditions and duty cycle.
