DVP LC40WR Water-Resistant Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump
The DVP LC40WR is a specialist oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump designed for applications where significant quantities of water vapour or condensate may enter the vacuum system.
Its oil and water separation system makes it particularly suitable for wet industrial processes, CNC marble and glass machinery, food packaging equipment and other applications where a standard oil lubricated pump may suffer from contaminated or emulsified oil.
Vacuum Pumps UK is the UK & Ireland Master Agent for DVP Vacuum Technology.

DVP LC40WR Overview
The DVP LC40WR is a water-resistant version of the LC40 oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump, developed for applications where water vapour or condensate may be drawn into the vacuum system.
The pump incorporates a specialist device which separates water condensate from the vacuum pump oil. The separated water is expelled when the pump is stopped, helping reduce oil contamination and protecting the pump in wet or vapour-laden processes.
With a nominal capacity of 40 m³/h at 50Hz and 48 m³/h at 60Hz, the LC40WR provides increased pumping capacity for larger machinery and production systems while retaining the specialist features needed for moisture-laden duties.
Designed for Water Vapour and Condensate
The main advantage of the LC40WR is its ability to work in applications where water vapour could contaminate the oil of a conventional rotary vane vacuum pump.
When water mixes with vacuum pump oil, it can produce emulsification, reduce lubrication, promote corrosion and cause a deterioration in vacuum performance. Repeated oil contamination can also increase maintenance requirements and shorten pump life.
The LC40WR separates condensate from the pump oil and discharges the collected water when the pump stops. Its continuously operating gas ballast further supports the handling of condensable vapours.

Why Choose the DVP LC40WR?
The LC40WR is a practical choice where a conventional oil lubricated vacuum pump may be vulnerable to moisture or water contamination from the production process.
It combines a nominal capacity of 40 m³/h with an oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, automatic floating oil recovery valve, continuously operating gas ballast, oil level switch and shock mounts.
Vacuum Pumps UK can support the LC40WR with pump selection, replacement advice, service support, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.
Key LC40WR Features
Oil and Water Separation
The specialist separation system separates water condensate from the vacuum pump oil and discharges the collected water when the pump stops.
Continuous Gas Ballast
The continuously operating gas ballast helps the pump manage condensable vapours entering the vacuum system.
Automatic Oil Recovery
The automatic floating oil recovery valve helps return separated oil to the pump and supports reliable oil circulation.
Oil Level Monitoring
The oil level switch helps monitor lubricant level and supports reliable operation and pump protection.
Standard LC40 or LC40WR?
The correct model depends on the required vacuum performance and the amount of water vapour entering the pump.
A standard oil lubricated vacuum pump may be suitable for dry applications. Where moisture, coolant vapour or condensate is regularly drawn into the vacuum system, the LC40WR’s oil and water separation system may provide a more reliable solution.
Our technical team can review the application, process conditions and existing pump before advising which DVP model is most appropriate.
Repair or Replace Your Existing Pump?
If a vacuum pump repeatedly develops milky or emulsified oil, corrosion or reduced vacuum performance, the underlying cause may be water entering from the process.
Repairing the existing pump may restore operation, but replacing it with a model designed for moisture-laden duties may provide a more reliable long-term solution.
We can assess the pump condition, process vapour and required vacuum performance before advising whether repair, refurbishment or replacement with an LC40WR is appropriate.
Replacement Pump Guide
Oil Becoming Milky?
Milky or emulsified oil can indicate that process water is entering the pump. The LC40WR may provide a more suitable long-term solution.
Replacing a Stone or Marble Machine Pump?
The LC40WR is particularly suited to wet stone and marble machinery where water vapour or condensate is drawn into the vacuum system.
Replacing a Glass Machine Pump?
For CNC glass processing and handling machinery, we can assess the moisture level and required vacuum before confirming whether the LC40WR is suitable.
Replacing Another Make?
Send us the pump make, model number or a photograph of the nameplate and we will advise the nearest suitable DVP option.
Not Sure Whether You Need a Water-Resistant Pump?
Tell us what the machine is processing, whether water or coolant is used and what condition the existing vacuum pump oil is in.
We can assess whether water vapour is likely to be entering the pump and recommend the most appropriate DVP model.
