DVP LC205HV and LC305HV Overview

The DVP LC205HV and LC305HV are specialist high-vacuum versions of the standard LC205 and LC305 oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps.

Both HV models achieve an ultimate vacuum of 0.1 mbar absolute, making them suitable for packaging processes requiring a deeper vacuum than the 0.5 mbar absolute provided by the corresponding standard versions.

The pumps are designed particularly for packaging lines where the vacuum pump is installed inside a machinery enclosure. Cooling air is discharged downwards, helping prevent hot air from accumulating inside the surrounding housing.

A redesigned suction fitting provides both frontal and vertical connections to the operating line, offering greater flexibility where pipework space is restricted.

LC205HV and LC305HV Comparison

Both pumps share the same high-vacuum construction, cooling arrangement and installation features. The main difference is pumping speed and motor power.

DVP LC205HV

Nominal capacity: 205 m³/h at 50Hz and 245 m³/h at 60Hz.

Ultimate vacuum: 0.1 mbar absolute.

Maximum water-vapour rate: 2.1 kg/h.

Motor power: 5.5 kW at 50Hz and 6.6 kW at 60Hz.

Suitable where the HV design is required at the lower of the two pumping capacities.

DVP LC305HV

Nominal capacity: 305 m³/h at 50Hz and 365 m³/h at 60Hz.

Ultimate vacuum: 0.1 mbar absolute.

Maximum water-vapour rate: 3.5 kg/h.

Motor power: 7.5 kW at 50Hz and 9 kW at 60Hz.

Suitable for larger packaging systems, increased chamber volumes and applications requiring faster evacuation.

Designed for Enclosed Packaging Lines

Large packaging machines often locate the vacuum pump inside a protective enclosure or machine cabinet. This can restrict airflow and cause hot exhaust air to remain around the pump.

The LC205HV and LC305HV discharge cooling air downwards, helping direct heat away from the pump and reduce hot-air stagnation inside the machinery housing.

The front-mounted oil heat exchanger also supports pump cooling and is positioned to simplify inspection and cleaning during routine maintenance.

Flexible Front or Vertical Suction Connection

The HV pumps incorporate a redesigned suction fitting with two possible connections to the operating line.

Pipework can be connected from the front or vertically, helping simplify installation where available space, enclosure design or existing pipework limits access to the pump inlet.

The appropriate connection position should be selected according to the machine layout and installation requirements.

Typical Applications

The LC205HV and LC305HV are intended primarily for food packaging machinery and industrial packaging lines requiring high pumping speed and deeper vacuum performance.

› Vacuum packaging machines

› Thermoforming packaging lines

› Chamber vacuum packaging systems

› Automatic packaging machinery

› Packaging lines with enclosed pump cabinets

› Filling and sealing systems

› Food processing and packaging machinery

› OEM packaging-machine integration

› High-speed evacuation systems

› Processes requiring 0.1 mbar absolute

Why Choose a DVP HV Pump?

The LC205HV and LC305HV are strong options where a packaging process requires high pumping capacity, 0.1 mbar absolute ultimate vacuum and an installation suitable for enclosed machinery.

Both models include a dual-position suction fitting, oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, automatic floating oil recovery valve, manually controlled gas ballast, shock mounts, oil filter with bypass and flexible transmission coupling.

Vacuum Pumps UK can support both HV models with pump selection, replacement advice, service support, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.

Key HV Features

0.1 mbar High Vacuum

Both HV models achieve a stated ultimate vacuum of 0.1 mbar absolute for processes requiring deeper vacuum performance.

Downward Cooling Airflow

Cooling air is discharged downwards to help prevent hot air from collecting inside packaging-machine enclosures.

Dual Suction Connection

The inlet fitting permits either frontal or vertical connection to suit different pipework and machine layouts.

Front Oil Heat Exchanger

The front-mounted oil heat exchanger supports cooling and provides easier access for inspection and cleaning.

Standard LC Pump or HV Version?

The standard LC205 and LC305 are suitable for general industrial and packaging applications requiring an ultimate vacuum of 0.5 mbar absolute.

The LC205HV and LC305HV achieve a deeper ultimate vacuum of 0.1 mbar absolute and include installation features intended specifically for packaging machinery enclosures.

The correct model depends on the required vacuum level, evacuation speed, enclosure ventilation, pipework arrangement and process conditions.

Our technical team can review the application and advise whether the standard or HV version is more appropriate.

Repair or Replace Your Existing Pump?

Replacement is not always the only answer. If the existing pump is mechanically sound, a service, repair or full overhaul may be more economical.

Replacement may be more appropriate if the pump is repeatedly failing, no longer reaching the required vacuum, running excessively hot inside the machine housing or becoming uneconomical to repair.

We can assess the existing pump, machine enclosure and required vacuum performance before advising whether repair, refurbishment or replacement with an HV model is the better option.

Replacement Pump Guide

Need a Deeper Vacuum?

The HV models provide an ultimate vacuum of 0.1 mbar absolute, compared with 0.5 mbar for the standard LC205 and LC305.

Pump Installed Inside a Cabinet?

Downward cooling-air discharge helps reduce hot-air stagnation around the pump inside an enclosed packaging machine.

Choosing LC205HV or LC305HV?

The LC205HV suits lower-capacity duties, while the LC305HV provides increased pumping speed for larger chambers and faster evacuation.

Replacing Another Make?

Send us the pump make, model number or a photograph of the nameplate and we will advise the nearest suitable DVP option.

Not Sure Which HV Model You Need?

Tell us the existing pump model, chamber volume, required evacuation time, target vacuum and how the pump is installed within the machine.

We can compare the LC205HV and LC305HV and recommend the most appropriate pump for the packaging line.

Send us the pump nameplate and details of the application.
